Vector space
Definition
- vector space: a space of vectors/functions obtained by equipping vectors in a certain dimension with addition and/or scalar multiplication operations
- eg. set of linear polynomials
Properties of vectors
closure space
- definition: a property of a set under certain operations; a member is closed under certain operations if performing operation on a set still produces a member of that set
- eg. subspace is closed under addition and/or scalar multiplication operations
